Job Title: Carpenter Apprentice Job Description

This role offers an opportunity for a semi-skilled carpenter with commercial or industrial construction experience to grow within a multi-trade environment. You will work primarily on first shift, supporting corporate fit-out projects in Class A spaces and traveling as part of a team to project sites in Marlton, Mount Laurel, and surrounding areas. You will assist with a wide range of carpentry tasks, including framing, millwork, and specialty installations, while developing your skills through hands-on work and structured training.

• Support commercial and industrial construction projects as part of a first-shift carpentry team.
• Travel with the team to various project sites, including Marlton and Mount Laurel, as required.
• Assist in laying out and setting control lines according to project plans and specifications.
• Perform metal framing work for commercial construction projects.
• Support millwork installations, ensuring accurate measurements and quality finishes.
• Install specialty products, accessories, and project-specific details as directed.
• Assist with doors and hardware installation, following plan specifications and safety standards.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for carpentry and construction tasks.
• Measure, cut, and assemble materials using tape measures and other basic construction tools.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and lead carpenters to complete tasks on time and to quality standards.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and site regulations while operating tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with multi-trade teams, including building, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC professionals, to support project completion.

• At least 3 years of hands-on carpentry experience, ideally in commercial or industrial construction.
• Ability to lay out and set control lines accurately according to project plans.
• Experience with metal framing in commercial construction environments.
• Hands-on experience with millwork installations.
• Ability to install specialty products, accessories, and project-specific details.
• Experience installing doors and hardware in commercial or industrial settings.
• Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for carpentry and construction tasks.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
• Comfort working in a team-based environment and traveling to multiple job sites.

• OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
• Aerial lift and boom lift certification is preferred.
• Experience operating construction equipment is an asset.
• Exposure to multi-trade environments, including building, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, is beneficial.
• Interest in pursuing further training, development, and certifications in the construction trades.

This is a first-shift role working on commercial and industrial construction sites, with a focus on corporate fit-outs in Class A office spaces. You will travel with a team to various project locations, primarily in Marlton and Mount Laurel, and work in a multi-trade environment alongside building, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC professionals. The work is hands-on and tool-intensive, involving regular use of hand and power tools, tape measures, and construction equipment. Site conditions follow standard commercial construction practices, with an expectation of appropriate work attire suitable for active job sites and adherence to all safety procedures and equipment requirements.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cherry Hill, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
