Washington Inventory

Washington Inventory reports to the Program Manager. This is a full-time position with compensation ranging from $19.00 to $23.00 depending on experience.

The Washington Inventory position is responsible for monitoring, updating, and keeping track of all liner inventory across the nursery on a weekly basis.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Utilizing a tablet-based inventory system and other Walla Walla Nursery websites
• Identifying plants based on common and genus name
• Counting liner inventory in field and greenhouse locations across the entire nursery
• Updating and confirming inventory numbers on a weekly basis
• Accurately identifying common pests/diseases and reporting them to the IPM team
• Grading plants health, quality, and maturity
• Helping the Grow team maintain and properly label trays/crops
• Basic math skills
• Working well with others
• Performing other duties as assigned

Physical and environmental requirements include:

• Being energetic and able to work long shifts with very little sitting
• Working in a standing position for 95% of a daily shift
• Bending and lifting, using both arms repeatedly
• Gripping, pinching, and carrying
• Utilizing a tablet and stylus while counting/inspecting plants at various heights or positions
• Lifting 50lbs
• Pushing/pulling up to 800lb. wheeled racks
• Performing tasks with arms raised above shoulder level
• Working in adverse and uncomfortable weather and temperatures, including temperatures below freezing and above 100*F
• Walking across uneven terrain

Training time is 3-6 months.
