Summary
- JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
- Supports the department manager in monitoring and adjusting the operation/productivity of the Pharmacy department and in the management of department personnel. Performs the duties of an Operations Manager; coordinating central operations for the department which includes personnel, technology, sterile process, medication procurement management. Leads efforts to improve workflow efficiency and provides oversight of the controlled substance program.

- EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- Current unencumbered Oregon Pharmacist Licensure required.
- One (1) of the following required:
- Satisfactory completion of an ASHP-accredited residency in pharmacy practice.
- One (1) year pharmacist experience.
- Leadership experience preferred.
- Hospital management experience or PGY1 preferred.
- All job offers are contingent upon the candidate passing a pre-employment/post offer drug screen.
- GSR Pharmacy:
- If responsible for participating on the pharmacy code response team, then Healthcare Provider Level BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required within 90 days of hire.

- Project Management - Ability to organize, plan and prioritize multiple fast-moving projects with changing priorities, drivers and dependencies. Ability to work effectively independently or as part of an integrated team to achieve a goal.
- Quality Control - Knowledge of analysis, tests and inspections of products, services, or processes. Ability to evaluate quality or performance.
- Safety and Security - Knowledge of safety and security practices and procedures. Ability to instruct the public in and promote safe and secure operations.
- Social Perceptiveness - Ability to work with a diverse population from pediatrics to geriatrics. Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and/or communicating with patients and caregivers. Possess personal sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others and a non-judgmental attitude towards persons of differing standards, values, lifestyles, and ages.
- Systems Analysis / Evaluation - Knowledge of how a system works and how changes will affect outcomes. Ability to identify measures of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance to meet certain goals.
- Maintains and demonstrates knowledge of the treatment, dosing and preparation of medications as it relates to stroke care.
