Pay: $60k - $70k/year
Shift: 1st Shift
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel Mechanic to join a growing service team. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment, and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and routine service on heavy equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues to minimize equipment downtime.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify and resolve equipment failures.
- Read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Complete repair documentation and maintain accurate service records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following company safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience repairing diesel-powered equipment, heavy equipment, agricultural equipment, trucks, or similar machinery.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Experience working with hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a hands-on shop environment.
Preferred Experience
- Heavy equipment, agricultural equipment, construction equipment, or dealership service experience.
- Experience using diagnostic software and electronic testing equipment.
- Preventative maintenance and equipment inspection experience.
- Welding or fabrication experience is a plus.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
