Job Title: Lead Driver (Player-Coach) – PDX Location

SkyHop Global, a premier ground transportation company for airline crews, is seeking a Lead Driver (Player-Coach) for our Portland (PDX) location. We transport pilots and flight attendants between airports and hotels, delivering safe, reliable service while creating “Raving Fans.”

This is a hands-on leadership role —you’ll lead the team while also being in the field driving, setting the standard for safety, service, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, coach, and support a team of drivers in a fast-paced, 24/7/365 operation
Build the schedule and adjust coverage based on airline activity and operational needs
Assist Station Leader with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new drivers
Act as a player-coach —drive routes as needed while leading by example
Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and service expectations
Conduct driver ride-alongs, training, and performance feedback
Oversee vehicle readiness, inspections, and coordination with Fleet Manager
Lead safety meetings and reinforce policies (including no mobile device policy)
Maintain strong working relationships with airport and hotel partners

Driver Responsibilities (While in the Field):

Safely transport airline crew members to/from airports and hotels
Assist with luggage (up to 75 lbs)
Communicate effectively via radio and in person
Deliver professional, on-time, customer-focused service
Create “Raving Fan” experiences on every trip

What We Offer:

Pay: $22.00 – $24.00/hour

Requirements:

Must be 21+ years old (DOT requirement)
Valid U.S. Driver’s License with 3+ years driving experience
Clean driving record (no recent violations or at-fault accidents)
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
Must pass background check, drug screen, and physical
Ability to obtain a Non-CDL DOT Medical Card
Conversational English required
Must be available weekends and holidays

Important:

This is a working leadership role —not a desk position
Strict no mobile device policy while operating company vehicles (no phones or smartwatches)
