At DC Water, we provide more than 700,000 District of Columbia residents and 24.6 million annual visitors with essential water, wastewater, and stormwater services. DC Water also provides wholesale wastewater treatment services for 1.8 million people in Montgomery and Prince George's counties in Maryland, and Fairfax and Loudoun counties in Virginia. This is an entry-level position and the incumbent works under the guidance of higher-grade employees. As a crew member, the incumbent performs manual and technical activities to support the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the water distribution and sewer collection systems. Major activities of the crew include, but not limited to, performing investigations and inspections; repair, replacement and lining of mains and service lines, laterals, taps, fire hydrants, valves, catch basins; etc.

Key Working Relationships: Interacts with co-workers in the department and throughout the Authority, business and property owners, and the general public.
