About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Step-Down/PCU setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage titration of vasopressors, sedation medications, and insulin drips
• Care for patients requiring trach vents, arterial lines, external pacemakers, and chest tubes
• Float to lower-acuity floors within service line as needed to meet facility demands
• Fulfill weekend rotation requirements, which may include Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday nights depending on existing rotation schedule
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records

• Active RN license in Missouri or a qualifying compact state (must match permanent residence); pending MO license submissions accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Step-Down/PCU/IMC bedside RN experience
• Must have been actively practicing at the bedside within the last 6 months
• ACLS certification required
• BLS/BCLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible - local candidates are not accepted

• Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care hospital environment
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system
• Experience managing complex critical care adjuncts such as vasopressors and sedation drips in a step-down or progressive care setting

• Expected 36 hours per week on a 3×12 night shift schedule with no on-call requirements and no parking costs at the facility
