Process Assurance Engineer

Job Description The Process Assurance Engineer is responsible for defining the product development processes for System, HW, and FW in accordance with applicable aeronautical regulations: ARP‑4754A, DO‑254, and DO‑178C. The engineer must provide training for the product engineers about the defined development processes, conduct internal audits, and support audits from customers and authorities. The role works in a collaborative cross‑functional environment for the development of an electric propulsion unit. Key Responsibilities Define the system development process and related documentation in accordance with ARP‑4754A. Define the electronic hardware development process and related documentation in accordance with DO‑254. Define the software development process and related documentation in accordance with DO‑178 and DO‑331. Define cyber‑security related processes. Analyze and approve development process documents provided by hardware, firmware, and software suppliers. Provide training to the team about process assurance standards and defined development processes. Select, set up, and conduct administrative activities related to requirements management tools. Provide training and support engineering teams on the requirements management tool. Perform internal audits to ensure compliance with defined processes. Support external audits from customers and authorities concerning development processes. Technical Attributes and Experience Experience in new product development and phase‑gate processes. Experience in development of electromechanical propulsion systems or electromechanical actuation systems. Experience with development of electronic controllers for safety critical applications. Experience in requirements‑based development. Experience with ARP‑4754A, DO‑254, DO‑178C, and DO‑331. Experience with cyber‑security methods applicable to commercial aviation. Experience with airworthiness certification requirements. Experience with IBM DOORS or JAMA. Willingness to work with, and travel to, domestic and international design and manufacturing locations when necessary. Preferred Experience with power electronics and motor control. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field. At least 7 years of experience in motor control or modelling.
