Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery (LDRP) position requiring ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP certifications with night shift availability and every other weekend commitment.

Details

• Work in a Labor & Delivery (LDRP) unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes active labor patients, antepartum patients as early as 27 weeks, PIH/magnesium patients, and preterm labor patients
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend required
• No floating required
• Procedures performed include NST, continuous fetal monitoring, fetal scalp electrode placement, IV starts, amnioinfusion, epidural placement assistance, and attendance at C-sections (non-scrub role)
• EMR: Epic and GE Centricity

Requirements

• Active AL RN license or compact RN license recognized in Alabama; candidates who have already applied for their AL license will also be considered
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• Experience with Epic and GE Centricity preferred
• Must provide two professional references for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing labor patients, antepartum monitoring, administering magnesium for PIH patients, and supporting preterm labor care
• Role involves assisting anesthesia during epidural placement and attending C-sections in a non-scrubbing capacity
• 13-week contract
