Sr Architect, App Modernization & Cloud Migration

Salary: $176,800 - 197,600 per year Requirements:

• Associates, Bachelors, or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• At least 7 years of IT architecture experience, including a minimum of 3 years supporting healthcare provider organizations
• Proven background modernizing legacy applications and leading large-scale migrations to cloud platforms and/or new data centers
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure technologies, including servers, networking, storage, virtualization, and operating system upgrades
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives and manage relationships across multiple stakeholder groups
• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership capabilities
• Experience developing and executing hybrid cloud strategies and legacy-to-modern transformation efforts
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform, including cloud-native architecture principles
• Deep understanding of healthcare security, privacy, compliance requirements, including HIPAA and HITRUST
• Professional certifications such as TOGAF, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
• Working knowledge of healthcare interoperability and integration standards, including HL7 and FHIR, and the infrastructure needed to support them

• Lead architecture planning and modernization initiatives across clinical and business applications in the healthcare provider environment
• Assess current application portfolios and create upgrade roadmaps for operating systems, databases, and middleware platforms
• Design and oversee end-to-end migration strategies for applications moving to new data centers and cloud environments, including IaaS and PaaS
• Partner with cross-functional teams such as Infrastructure, Integration, Security, and Clinical IT to support successful delivery
• Define and apply cloud migration approaches such as lift-and-shift, replatforming, and application refactoring
• Establish standards and best practices for modernization, integration, resiliency, and high availability architecture
• Ensure solution designs comply with healthcare regulations and industry standards, including HIPAA and HITRUST
• Provide hands-on architectural leadership, governance, and technical direction throughout the migration lifecycle
• Support risk management, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning during transition activities
• Serve as a trusted advisor and liaison between technical teams, business leaders, and clinical stakeholders
