Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support in an otolaryngology outpatient setting, including assisting physicians during patient examinations and procedures.
• Room patients efficiently in a busy clinic environment, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Perform autoclaving and high-level disinfecting of clinical equipment—a training will be provided as needed.
• Manage charting and documentation using EPIC electronic health records software.
• Prepare examination rooms and assist with necessary supplies and equipment.
• Float between different clinic locations within the region, as needed, to support patient care.
• Adhere to established safety and infection control protocols.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 6 months experience as a medical assistant, preferably in an ENT or adult outpatient setting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinic, handling multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interactions.
• Comfortable performing clinical tasks including autoclaving and high-level disinfection.
• Proficient with electronic health records, specifically EPIC software.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• Preferred certification in Medical Assisting (MA-C); willing to accept MA-R if needed.
• Valid state medical assistant license or certification.
• Current immunizations and ability to comply with clinic safety protocols.
• Availability to work scheduled hours Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with flexibility to float between clinics as needed.
• Candidates must be local within a 50-mile radius of Seattle, WA, and willing to undertake a temporary-to-permanent employment arrangement.
• Reference checks covering at least 6 months to 1 year of recent health care experience within the last 3 years.
• Must provide a statement confirming openness to a temporary-to-hire opportunity at the time of submission.
