Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit - Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse- 1100 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience with 9 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.

• 9 months of acute care experience within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - HCA - San Antonio Division.

Additional Details:

Preferred Credentials: Bariatric certification preferred. Med/Surg certification preferred. Ortho certification preferred.

Unit Details: Unit performs bariatric procedures (Gastric bypass, Gastric sleeves), orthopedic surgeries (Total hip replacements, Total knee replacements), and general surgery (Laparoscopic cholecystectomy, Laparoscopic appendectomies). Uses computer on wheels, Hospira pumps, and iMobile phones.

Shift & Scheduling: 4 weekend shifts per schedule or 2 full weekends. Weekend nights are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Floating Requirements: May float to Med/Renal, Oncology, Med/Surg Tele, CVTS, and Telemetry.
