Overview Under the general supervision of the Program Manager for TCOOMMI, a Caseworker II performs assigned human service activities in the community mental health center and the community at large. Experience and Training Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited school of social work, sociology, psychology, education, the humanities, or a behavioral science. Must be able to maintain QMHP Credentialing for continued employment. 2 years case management experience required. Criminal justice, bilingual‑Spanish preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities General knowledge of mental illness and emotional components, rehabilitation methods, basic principles of casework, and knowledge of general community welfare resources. Ability to conduct interviews and report results of the interviews. Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with Community Supervision, Corrections Department and other professional groups, to exercise tact, initiative, and good judgment when dealing with people. Ability to prepare reports and recommendations for administrative use, to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats of communication. Must have and maintain a level of general health that permits the performance of the job duties. Must be able to successfully participate, perform, and complete the skills required for CPR, First Aid, and PM. Ability to travel locally 75% of the time. Must have excellent time management and organizational skills. Must have computer skills: basic word processing, EHR.
