Window InstallerThe Service Technician is responsible for on-site diagnostics, repairs, and adjustments to windows, doors, and other products. This role involves troubleshooting, performing repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and quality service.ResponsibilitiesConduct on-site diagnostics and repairs for windows and doors.Perform troubleshooting to identify and resolve installation issues.Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and quality service.Use technology, such as an iPad, to complete work orders and take notes per visit.Essential SkillsExperience with window installation.Ability to read a tape measure accurately.Customer service experience with a focus on customer-facing roles.Proficiency with technology, especially using an iPad.Good driving record.Additional Skills & QualificationsCarpentry and finish carpentry skills.Experience with hand and power tools, such as nail guns, staple guns, hammers, and saws.Ability to calculate measurements in feet and inches, as well as other units.Strong verbal communication skills.Ability to read and understand written and oral instructions.Why Work Here?Enjoy the benefit of having a company vehicle. Begin your day by gathering tools at the shop and travel primarily within Western Michigan, with occasional trips to Lansing or Northern Michigan. Expect to work both indoors and outdoors, so dress appropriately for the weather. Enjoy working independently, handling 4 to 6 assignments per day, with no emergency on-call duties.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
