This facility is a 380-bed tertiary care center and Level I Trauma Center featuring 19 active operating rooms, providing a high-acuity environment with a busy and diverse surgical schedule. The health system also includes an additional care center with 11 active operating rooms, primarily serving outpatient surgical needs, along with multiple other anesthetizing sites including an EP lab, Endoscopy, OB, CT, ASC, and a hospital in Superior.

Job Details:

• Administer anesthesia to patients of all ages in the operating room, delivery room, and other patient care areas according to Medical Center policies and procedures
• Prioritize anesthetic decisions and administer anesthetic agents following established protocols and guidelines
• Communicate patient status to healthcare team members and ensure patients and families are partners in the plan of anesthesia care
• Facilitate staff coverage, assignments, and breaks in the surgical area as part of coordinating duties
• Assess and interpret data reflective of patient status relative to age-specific needs across the life span
• Diverse practice excluding transplant and complex pediatrics within a medically directed practice with collegial anesthesiologists
• Shift options include 8, 10, 12, 16, and 24 hour shifts to support flexible scheduling
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a CRNA required
• Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing and an accredited school of nurse anesthesia
• Must hold current licensure in the state of practice and be certified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
• Must pass certification exam within 12 months of graduation if awaiting initial certification
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; ACLS required within 90 days of hire
• Ability to function effectively in stressful and emergent situations is required
• Demonstrate leadership through committee involvement, team projects, education, and research initiatives
• Active participation in professional organizations and community activities is encouraged
