Arctic Compressor has an immediate opening for a driven and ambitious Shipping Assembly Technician to join our enthusiastic and results-oriented team!

Summary:
The Shipping Assembly Technician plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient shipping operations. This position requires innovation, speed, and execution in packaging of parcel shipments and crating for freight shipments. A resourceful and independent problem solver, the Shipping Assembly Technician will work with saws and hand tools to cut plywood to specific measurements and assemble crates around products to ensure safe and secure shipping experience. Passion, urgency, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work in shipping with efficient and precise packaging/crating of products
- Perform miscellaneous but impactful job-related duties as assigned
Requirements & Skills:
- Proficiency in power tools such as saws and drills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Critical thinking and a proactive approach to challenges
- Ability to stand or walk for 4 hours per day
- Capability to lift 40 lbs. to chest height
- Forklift experience is desirable but not required
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Attributes:
- Reports To: Production Manager
- Position Type: Part-time
- Working Hours: Monday-Thursday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) & Friday (8:00 AM - Noon)
- Work Environment: This position primarily operates in a dynamic warehouse/manufacturing environment, requiring the employee to follow safety protocols and demonstrate a strong sense of urgency.
