Line Cook

Hunters amp; Gatherers is looking for a strong, experienced line cook to join our kitchen team.

We are not looking for someone who just wants to “work in a kitchen.” We are looking for someone who knows how to cook real food from scratch, move with urgency, handle pressure, and take pride in putting out food the right way.

This is not an entry-level position and not the right fit for a first kitchen job. We need a skilled cook who is confident on the line and understands timing, temperature, seasoning, consistency, and professionalism.

What we need

You should be comfortable with:

• Cooking steaks to temperature
• Saut#233;ing fish properly
• Working multiple stations
• Prepping from scratch
• Following recipes and plating standards
• Keeping a clean, organized station
• Moving through service with focus and consistency
• Being part of a professional kitchen team

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to our standards
• Execute dishes with consistency, urgency, and attention to detail
• Assist with daily prep including chopping, portioning, marinating, and organizing mise en place
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety throughout every shift
• Work efficiently during busy service while staying composed and accurate
• Communicate clearly with the kitchen team and contribute to a strong service flow
• Respect ingredients, equipment, and the standards of the kitchen

Qualifications

• Previous line cook experience in a professional kitchen is required
• Strong understanding of saut#233;, grill, prep, and station management
• Ability to cook proteins correctly and consistently
• Solid knife skills and food safety knowledge
• Able to handle a fast paced service without sacrificing quality
• Dependable, professional, and serious about the work
