Job Summary The Toddler Teachers supports the healthy development, safety, and learning of children ages 12-40 months. This role requires a nurturing, patient, observant, and energetic educator who can create a warm, responsive environment while following STAR 4 quality standards and developmentally appropriate practices.
Key Responsibilities:
MUST LOVE CHILDREN!
Provide a warm, nurturing, and responsive environment for infants-toddlers (ages 6 weeks to 40 months).
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that support cognitive, emotional, social, and physical growth.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
Observe and document each child’s progress and communicate regularly with families.
Collaborate with assistant teachers and other staff to ensure consistency and quality of care.
Follow all state licensing requirements, health and safety guidelines, and center policies.
Must be willing to follow schedule.
Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings.
Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with parents and caregivers.
Qualifications:
Required: CDA (Child Development Associate) or Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or 5 years in a licensed center preferred.
Prior knowledge of the use of Teaching Strategies and documentation processes preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with infants-age 5 in a licensed childcare setting.
Strong knowledge of early childhood development and best practices in infant-toddler care.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Genuine love for infants and commitment to their healthy development.
