Kindergarten Aide: St. Joseph School

Kindergarten Aide Saint Joseph Parish School Avon Lake, Ohio Overview Saint Joseph Parish School, a faith-filled Catholic school serving Preschool through Grade 8, is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Kindergarten Aide to join our early childhood team. The Kindergarten Aide works closely with the classroom teacher to support students' academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth while helping create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. Responsibilities Assist the classroom teacher with daily instruction and learning activities. Support students during small-group work, centers, and classroom routines. Help supervise students during lunch, recess, transitions, and other school activities. Encourage positive behavior and age-appropriate social interactions. Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. Support the mission and values of Catholic education. Qualifications Enjoy working with young children and helping them succeed. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patient, positive, and nurturing demeanor. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff. Prior experience working with children is preferred. Must complete diocesan background checks and VIRTUS Safe Environment training.
