Job Description:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides care for patients with high acuity conditions, including ECMO, heart transplant, and CABG. The RN is responsible for hemodynamic monitoring and post-CABG care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients.
- Administer medication and monitor patient responses.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor and adjust life support systems, such as ventilators, and provide post-operative care.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of ICU experience
- Active Texas RN License
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilated patients
- Preferred: Meditech experience and CVICU experience
