Grand Haven, MI, $20.00+ per hour (Based on Experience)
Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Grand Haven, MI for both 2nd and 3rd shift. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping us to keep production running smoothly by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery for a leading powder coating manufacturer.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Maintenance Technician , your core responsibilities will include:
Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance on production equipment and facility systems to ensure peak performance and reduce downtime.
Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues quickly and effectively to maintain productivity.
Technical Documentation: Read, interpret, and apply information from technical manuals, schematics, and CAD drawings to complete maintenance and repair work accurately.
In addition, you will also be expected to perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including confined space work, lifting, and equipment inspections, while maintaining compliance with all safety standards.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
3–5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or related field preferred
HVAC or Electrical background strongly preferred
Experience with hand and power tools
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and CAD drawings
Ability to perform confined space entry, work at heights, lift heavy objects, and complete manual labor
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and CMMS systems (such as MicroMain or SAP)
Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including a respirator
Skills:
Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to maintain and repair equipment effectively.
Problem Solving: Quick and efficient troubleshooting to minimize production interruptions.
Attention to Detail: Ensures all work meets operational, safety, and quality standards while maintaining accurate maintenance records.
