Messina Hof is made up of a team of honest and passionate people of character that desire to be part of a rapidly growing company in an exciting and thriving industry.POSITION SUMMARYThe Event Manager will be responsible for the growth of event revenue by generating event sales through outbound sales and incoming sales efforts for Messina Hof Winery Estate. Reasonable Accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Essential Functions Statement(s)Sell, develop, plan, and coordinate all contracted events, experiences, etc. at Messina Hof Winery & ResortCreate, develop, plan, and coordinate all in-house events, experiences, festivals, etc. at Messina Hof Winery & ResortCreate strategies and generate new business/client relationships with local organizations, businesses, and surrounding communitiesEstablish rapport and maintain relationship with clientsIncrease market share, development, and coordinate marketing initiativesSubmit promotion and marketing suggestions to the Marketing team as neededTravel to the locations for event, client, and staff meetings regarding eventsManage day-of execution of eventsSchedule weekly Event Meetings with locations to discuss and convey event plansOngoing and effective communication with locations, administration, staff and clientsLearn and manage Tripleseat and OrderportEffective contract management and payment processes through TripleseatOversee the invoice process to ensure that payments are properly processed in a timely mannerPerform other duties as required including assisting other departments as neededPOSITION QUALIFICATIONSCompetency Statement(s)1-2 years of event sales experienceExperience in waitstaff training and relations including management, scheduling, planning and delegating tasks to provide superior food and beverage serviceExcellent communication skills, eye for detail, and positive motivational attitudeAbility to use a personal computer well and have working knowledge of computer programs including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Orderport, and Revel.Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet necessary sales goals and deadlines.Experience with Tripleseat is preferredPHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
