Job Description

Job Summary:
A Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing advanced respiratory care to adult patients, including NICU cases, utilizing specialized equipment and therapies. The role involves delivering patient-centered care in a hospital environment with a focus on ventilator management and respiratory procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Administer high-quality respiratory treatments, including CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Bubble CPAP, and ventilator management with Hamilton C1.
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust treatments accordingly to ensure safety and effectiveness.
• Document clinical interventions accurately within the Meditech system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain equipment, ensuring all respiratory devices are functioning properly and sanitized.
• Comply with hospital policies, safety standards, and clinical guidelines at all times.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential.
• Possess at least 2 years of general RT experience, with NICU and vent management expertise.
• Demonstrate proficiency in advanced respiratory procedures and equipment, including Hamilton C1.
• Be certified in BLS and ACLS; NRP preferred but can be obtained after hire.
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
