Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized emergency nursing care to adult patients in a busy, fast-paced hospital emergency department. Ensures high-quality, compassionate care while adhering to hospital policies and evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions upon arrival and prioritize care based on urgency.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions following physician orders and protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatments, escalating concerns as needed.
• Document all patient interactions accurately using Epic electronic health record systems.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain compliance with certifications, licensure, and hospital policies, including on-call and weekend rotations.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid California RN license with current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent experience working as an ED RN in a high-volume setting.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Epic charting and clinical documentation.
• Be available for variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with flexibility for on-call.
• Meet the specific experience requirements, including background checks and work history verification.
