Database Administrator – AdvancedDuration: 12 Months (Extension Possible)Location: Columbia, SC 29201Interview Process: 1 Round – VirtualWork Location: Fully RemoteCandidate Location Requirement: MUST be a South Carolina resident (No relocation allowed)Key ResponsibilitiesDatabase Migration & ModernizationAssess existing SQL Server databases for migration readinessPlan and execute migrations between versions and platformsSupport on-premises and cloud-based database transitionsPerform schema conversions, data transformations, and validationEnsure minimal downtime and data integrity during migrationsCoordinate with application, infrastructure, and vendor teamsDatabase Administration & SupportInstall, configure, maintain, and monitor SQL Server environmentsManage Backup and Restore strategies (full, differential, transactional)Optimize database performance and tuningTroubleshoot production database issuesSecurity & ComplianceManage roles, permissions, and access controlImplement encryption and database security best practicesSupport compliance with state IT standards and regulationsImplement Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) (preferred)Required SkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (experience may substitute year-for-year)5+ years' experience as a Senior SQL Server DBA1+ year experience migrating application databases between versions and platforms5+ years of Backup/Restore experienceSQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) experienceExperience managing roles, permissions, and encryptionStrong T-SQL proficiencyPreferred SkillsExperience implementing Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)Database design and normalization expertisePowerShell scriptingAbout UsInterSources Inc. is a Small, Woman, and Minority-Owned Business Enterprise, ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2 Type 2 certified company with massive 18+ years of diversified experience in providing IT Consulting Services, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analysis, Application Development, Cloud Services, Cybersecurity, Digital Marketing, ERP Management, Custom Software Development, Web Development, UI/ UX Design, System Integration, QA Support etc. We make reasonable accommodations for clients and employees, and we do not discriminate based on any protected attribute including race, religion, color, national origin, gender sexual orientation, gender identity, age, or marital status.
