The Role

We are seeking a Float Clinical Pharmacist to provide clinical and operational support across multiple inpatient service lines, helping ensure safe, effective, andhigh-qualitymedication use for our patients. In this role, you will apply your broad acute care knowledge while developing deeper familiarity with a wide range of specialties and care environments.

On aday-to-daybasis, you will:

• Provide clinical pharmacy services across a variety of acute care and inpatient practice areas based on operational and patient care needs

• Review, verify, and manage medication orders with a s trong emphasis on patient safety ,evidence basedpractice, and therapeutic optimization

• Serve as a clinical resource to physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other members of the care team

• Identify, prevent, and resolvemedication relatedproblems for patients with complex and evolving clinical conditions

• Support transitions of care through medication reconciliation, monitoring, andpatient specificrecommendations

• Contribute to operational excellence bymaintainingcontinuity of pharmacy services across units and shifts

No two days areexactly the same. You may support a medical or surgical unit one day and transition to a different inpatient service the next, collaborating with new teams while applying consistent clinical standards. The pace is engaging and intellectually stimulating, offering exposure to a broad range of disease states, therapies, and patient needs. Minimum Qualifications -

• Education: Bachelor's in Pharmacy or Pharm. D Degree required.
• Experience: PGY-1 residency required or equivalent hospital experience. (3.years). PGY-2 residency is preferred for specialty areas.
• Licensure/Certifications: Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy. License required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider. BLS certification required

Physical Demands - Job requires sitting for prolonged periods; Repetitive motion: typing. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull < 20lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.

Onboarding Requirements

Background checks and pre-employment health screenings will be conducted on all new hires prior to employment. All safety-sensitive positions with direct patient interaction also require a drug screen.

The pay range for this role is $64.37 - $89.07 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
