Bus Proj Fin Analyst II at Syneos Health® is a leading fully‑integrated life sciences services organization that supports drug development and commercialization. The Clinical Solutions team works with a drug development mindset, applying deep expertise to understand customer needs and shape solutions across the continuum. Key Responsibilities Record revenue each month for the Unit, Fee‑for‑Service and Fixed‑Price contracts, and load project budgets into Oracle/Revenue Wizard while maintaining key member lists and other project data. Draft project‑level actual versus budget/forecast variance analysis monthly and produce monthly reports for distribution. Forecast monthly financial results (backlog) and meet established deadlines for revenue and backlog submissions. Prepare project close‑out reconciliations and review, with assistance, executed Work Orders and Change Orders for bonus or other anomalies. Work closely with the Business Unit Controller to capture, assess and consolidate results. Draft key reports such as annual cost and expense budgets, cost rates, cost and expense forecasting, monthly utilization, headcount, revenue backlog analysis, and/or gross profit for the assigned area. Update predefined reports and attend project meetings as applicable. Attend project kick‑off meetings to capture and process relevant data for newly awarded projects onto financial systems and schedules. Attend monthly project review (MPR) meetings to ensure understanding of project status, potential issues and the accuracy of the forecast. Monitor the overall health of assigned projects including revenues, gross profit, receivables, and unbilled amounts, as well as project close‑outs and reconciliations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent education and experience. Preferred experience in pharmaceuticals or CRO environments. Strong English proficiency. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Proficiency with accounting software packages and experience with Oracle Finance is preferred. Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, organizational, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. Excellent financial, communication, and interpersonal skills with a high level of personal motivation to achieve. Demonstrated ability to work with confidential and sensitive data. Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines. Physical Requirements Ability to occasionally move around the office to access filing cabinets and other office items, maintain a stationary position for prolonged periods, occasionally lift or carry light to medium weight items (10–35 pounds), operate a computer and other office equipment, and perceive and assess written materials for prolonged periods.
