Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify clients’ mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans that promote emotional wellness.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques in one-on-one sessions to support individual clients in overcoming their challenges.
• Collaboratively establish therapeutic goals with clients and routinely monitor their progress through regular check-ins and therapy sessions.
• Provide teletherapy services to clients who may have mobility issues or prefer virtual engagement for convenience.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and treatment outcomes to support effective healthcare delivery and compliance with ethical standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills and remain informed about the latest trends in mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele at Pendulum Counseling ranges widely, addressing cases that include but are not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and substance use disorders. Therapists work with both individuals and families, employing various therapeutic interventions to foster healing. This role is integral to helping clients navigate their recovery journeys, providing the tools necessary for long-term well-being.

Qualifications

• A valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish a secure therapeutic rapport with clients quickly.
• Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental approach to client experiences.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, allowing for effective caseload management and efficient completion of administrative responsibilities.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in outpatient therapy settings or community health clinics is preferred.
• Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and the ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to a virtual environment.
• Experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds, particularly in issues related to addiction and recovery.

Compensation and Benefits
