Lee Health is seeking a Medical Director of Cardiac Imaging! Lee Health is a nonprofit organization with more than 17,000 employees, 4,500 volunteers, and more than 1,200 employed primary care and specialty care providers with multiple practice locations throughout Southwest Florida. The organization has four acute care hospitals and one specialty hospital that together house over 1,800 hospital beds.

Position Information:

Lee Health Heart Institute is seeking a full-time Medical Director of Cardiac Imaging who is BC/BE in Internal Medicine and Cardiology to lead a growing, system-wide cardiac imaging program. Candidates must have Level III training in Cardiac CT and MRI, with advanced training in nuclear cardiology and/or echocardiography preferred. This position is a balanced role with a combination of clinical and administrative responsibilities. The Medical Director will oversee cardiac imaging services across the system, including cCTA, cardiac MRI, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology, while ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to national guidelines. Responsibilities include program development, supervision of cardiac imaging physicians and staff, and collaboration with cardiology and cardiac surgery teams to support structural heart and inpatient imaging programs. The role also includes oversight of quality initiatives, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth. In addition, this position will lead the development of a cardiovascular clinical research program, including building infrastructure, mentoring staff, and pursuing funding opportunities. Candidates should have an interest in research, education, and program development.
