This role oversees inventory management, purchasing, pricing strategies, customer service, and staff development to ensure efficient operations and high levels of customer satisfaction. The Parts Manager works closely with Service, Body Shop, and Sales departments to support internal and external customers while maintaining strong financial performance and inventory control.The "Major Duties and Responsibilities" listed below highlights the key responsibilities and qualifications for the role. The duties and responsibilities outlined are not exhaustive and may adapt over time to align with evolving business needs.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesDepartment Leadership and Staff Management Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate Parts Department employeesFoster a positive, productive, and customer-focused work environmentConduct regular team meetings and provide ongoing training and developmentAddress employee performance, concerns, and disciplinary actions as neededEnsure compliance with Company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirementsInventory Management and Purchasing Maintain balanced inventory levels to support service, body shop, and retail needsMonitor inventory turnover, obsolescence, and stocking levelsEstablish and enforce purchasing procedures and special-order policiesCollaborate with leadership to optimize inventory investment and availabilityOversee shipping, receiving, and stock organization processesSales, Customer Service, and Operations Oversee counter sales, wholesale parts operations, and customer interactionsEnsure high-quality service for both internal and external customersHandle customer concerns and resolve issues in a timely and professional mannerDevelop and implement sales promotions and marketing initiativesCoordinate with Service and Body Shop departments to ensure timely parts availabilityFinancial Performance and Controls Monitor department profitability, expenses, and key performance indicatorsAnalyze sales, inventory, and financial reports to drive performance improvementsEstablish pricing strategies to maintain competitiveness and profitabilityAssist with collections and ensure proper accounting of purchases and transactionsMaintain accurate records and ensure compliance with financial controlsCompliance, Safety, and Continuous Improvement Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to parts operationsEnforce safety policies, including proper handling of materials and equipmentMaintain SDS documentation and OSHA compliance requirementsIdentify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
