Facilities DirectorAs a CBRE Facilities Director, you will serve as the primary client contact for the delivery of facilities management services to a small to medium-sized property. This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans.Responsibilities include:Providing formal supervision to employees. Monitoring the training and development of staff. Conducting performance evaluations and coaching. Overseeing the recruiting and hiring of new employees.Coordinating and managing the team's daily activities. Establishing work schedules, assigning tasks, and cross-training staff. Setting and tracking staff and department deadlines. Mentoring and coaching as needed.Reviewing the client's strategic plans for appropriate staffing levels to meet expectations.Managing capital project and operating budget reports for a singular property.Creating action plans to improve financial positions. Managing negotiations for contract services.Meeting with the client management team and appropriate departments to discuss, resolve, and discrepancies.Applying a robust knowledge of multiple disciplines, the business, and key drivers which impact departmental and cross-functional performance.Leading by example and modeling behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Persuading managers and other colleagues to take action while being guided by the organization's functional business plans. Negotiating with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent interests to reach a common goal.Identifying and solving multi-dimensional, complex, operational, and organizational problems leveraging the appropriate resources within or outside the department.Significantly improving and changing existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.Requirements include:Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Facility Management certification preferred.Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.Leadership skills to set, manage, and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple department results within a function.In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
