Due to the growth of our company and the need to better serve our customers we are looking for you!ResponsibilitiesWhat does a Transmission Technician do?Diagnoses and performs repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles.Prioritizes and plans work flow with shop foreman to meet demands and customer needs.Coordinates with Part Department to ensure parts are available to complete repairs.Completes service and repair assignments correctly to pass quality inspections or test drives.Road test vehicles to ensure repairs are completed properly.Suggests additional work that is needed to the Service Advisor so the customer may be notified.Assists Service Advisors, if necessary, to explain completed repairs to a customer.Promotes dealership by presenting professional image, positive attitude, and clean work area.Meets or exceeds productivity and quality goals.Obtain and maintain Ford Technician certificationsAlong with transmission related issues you may also do other types of repairs and maintenance depending on work demand.QualificationsAt least 2+ years experience as a Automotive Service Technician.At least 1+ years of automotive transmission repair and maintenance.Must have a valid driver’s licenseProficiency in the use of common mechanic shop tools, equipment and computer software.Must be a “team player”Must be reliable and on timeExceptional ability to learn and growAmazing work ethicDetail orientedAbility to learn from veteran staff and foremanOutstanding ability to work with a team and take directionAbility and willingness to adopt modern technology and take on additional dutiesUse of your cell phone to share photos and videos of recommended repairs with various applications.Strong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in use of basic computer and phone systemsAbility to bend, move, lift and physically perform duties in the scope of this position.BenefitsGuaranteed 40 hour work week pay PLUS flat rate incentive pay, you will never make less than your clock time.Holidays are paid time offPaid Time OffUniforms providedBoot allowanceUnion positionAdditional training provided and you get paid extra for it!Earn money for training via Ford’s Top Techs programHealth Insurance, single and family coverageHealth Savings Account optionDental InsuranceLife Insurance401k retirement planEmployee Vehicle DiscountsEmployee Parts/Service Pricing DiscountsReferral Bonus ProgramGood to Know Before You Start!Be prepared to work 40 hours per weekTeam players only!
