Recruitment & Community Engagement Coordinator (Chicago)

Code Platoon is a nonprofit coding bootcamp helping Veterans, active‑duty servicemembers, military spouses, and military family members launch careers in tech. We're hiring a community-first relationship-builder to be our face in Chicago — someone as comfortable presenting to a room of transitioning service members as following up one‑on‑one with a military spouse exploring a career change. What you’ll do: Build relationships with veteran service organizations, community partners, and military family networks across Chicago and the Midwest Represent Code Platoon at events, info sessions, and hiring fairs, and guide interested prospects through the application process Help prospects understand funding options (GI Bill, VR&E, MyCAA) for their bootcamp Track outreach and prospect progress in HubSpot, and support students through pre‑enrollment coursework Contribute event recaps, photos, and testimonials to our marketing team What you bring: 1‑3 years in community outreach, events, recruitment, or relationship management Strong personal connection to the military‑connected community (Veteran, spouse, or dependent strongly preferred) A natural public presence — comfortable representing an organization in front of groups Chicago‑based with reliable transportation for local travel (30‑40%) Compensation: $42,000‑$47,000, plus medical/dental/vision and a flexible remote schedule. #J-18808-Ljbffr Code Platoon
