Rhino Medical is leading the charge in seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine Physician for a permanent Core Faculty opportunity with an established Family Medicine Residency Program in Richmond, Indiana .

This position offers an opportunity to shape the next generation of family physicians while maintaining an active clinical practice. Faculty members dedicate at least 60% of their professional effort to residency education , with a structured combination of resident precepting, teaching, administration, and patient care.

Faculty & Clinical Responsibilities

• Precept Family Medicine residents in outpatient continuity clinic and assigned clinical rotations.
• Provide direct supervision, clinical instruction, and mentorship to resident physicians.
• Deliver comprehensive outpatient primary care while supporting resident education.
• Participate in inpatient and outpatient teaching activities.
• Facilitate case discussions, didactic lectures, and evidence-based educational sessions.
• Evaluate resident clinical performance, medical knowledge, professionalism, and progressive competency.
• Provide constructive feedback and individualized guidance to support resident development.
• Participate in residency curriculum development and educational improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to scholarly activity, quality improvement, and evidence-based clinical education.
• Collaborate with residency leadership to support program goals and educational standards.
• Promote continuity of care, preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and comprehensive family medicine.
• Model effective patient communication, clinical reasoning, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Participate in faculty meetings, educational planning, and residency administrative responsibilities.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support appropriate patient care coordination.
• Foster a supportive learning environment emphasizing clinical excellence, professionalism, and patient-centered care.

Join an established Family Medicine Residency Program supported by a multidisciplinary graduate medical education team.

The program includes:

• One Family Medicine Residency Program Director
• Three Core Physician Faculty Members
• One Faculty Psychologist
• One Graduate Medical Education Director
• One Clinical Supervisor
• Two Medical Education Assistants
• Twelve Clinical Support Staff Members

Faculty physicians work closely with residency leadership and clinical staff to provide structured education, comprehensive patient care, and ongoing professional development for resident physicians.

Required Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
• Board-eligible physicians must obtain board certification within five years of residency completion.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Family Medicine board certification.
• Active Indiana medical license or eligibility through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
• Minimum Three Years of Clinical Experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification as required for applicable clinical privileges.
• Eligibility to participate in Medicare and Medicaid.
• Demonstrated proficiency in comprehensive outpatient Family Medicine.
• Ability to teach, supervise, and evaluate resident physicians in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, leadership, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience teaching or precepting medical students or resident physicians.
• Experience in graduate medical education or an academic Family Medicine environment.
• Interest in curriculum development, resident mentorship, and clinical education.
• Experience participating in quality improvement, scholarly activity, or educational initiatives.
• Commitment to developing future Family Medicine physicians through structured clinical teaching.
