Job Description
Physical Therapist

The Physical Therapist is responsible for providing exceptional patient care through assessment, treatment, and coordination while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This role involves a range of responsibilities aimed at promoting optimal functional independence and safety for patients.

Responsibilities

• Manage and adjust patient visit schedules to optimize productivity and accommodate patient needs.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, including evaluating psychosocial, educational, safety, and risk factors.
• Develop tailored plans of care that align with patient goals and regulatory standards.
• Provide skilled treatment and education to patients and caregivers, assessing patient status and progress during each visit.
• Coordinate patient care with other healthcare professionals, ensuring effective communication and optimal patient outcomes.
• Supervise the clinical activities of physical therapy assistants, students, and home care aides.
• Complete necessary documentation accurately and in compliance with relevant regulations and agency policies.
• Ensure all required paperwork for billing and insurance processes is completed and submit timely reports.
• Engage in community training programs and promote rehabilitation services.
• Maintain and enhance professional knowledge in the field of physical therapy.
• Conduct various patient health assessments and procedures as needed.
• Communicate schedule changes to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Participate in regular peer review audits and professional development activities.

Shift Information

Full-time with a standard schedule of Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, with occasional weekend coverage required and holiday coverage as necessary.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in physical therapy.
