IT Administrator Background check and US Citizenship are requirements for this position. Salary: $70,000 to $90,000 depending on experience. The McHenry Management Group, LLC is seeking an experienced, service-oriented IT Administrator to support employees across our Microsoft 365 Commercial and GCC High environments. This position combines hands-on technical support with limited Microsoft 365 administration, device and account management, project coordination, and service improvement responsibilities. The successful candidate will support both onsite and remote employees, resolve day-to-day technical issues, identify recurring support trends, and recommend practical improvements to IT workflows and procedures. This is an intermediate-level position for someone who is comfortable working independently within defined administrative permissions while knowing when an issue requires escalation. The role reports to the IT Operations Manager and works closely with systems engineering and compliance resources. What You'll Do Provide day-to-day technical support for onsite and remote employees across our Microsoft 365 Commercial and GCC High environments. Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 applications, Windows devices, account access, authentication, connectivity, peripherals, and other common technology issues. Use approved, limited administrative access to support user accounts, groups, licenses, devices, authentication, and onboarding and offboarding activities. Monitor and manage Freshservice tickets, maintain clear documentation, and escalate advanced technical, security, or compliance-related issues when needed. Support the deployment, configuration, inventory, refresh, and recovery of company devices and office technology. Review ticket activity and user feedback to identify recurring issues, support trends, and opportunities for training or service improvement. Help coordinate smaller IT projects, deployments, testing activities, and operational initiatives by tracking tasks, risks, follow-up items, and status. Review support procedures, workflows, checklists, and knowledge articles, recommending practical improvements where appropriate. Requirements Three or more years of IT support, systems administration support, or equivalent hands-on experience. Experience supporting Windows devices and Microsoft 365 applications in a business environment. Working knowledge of user accounts, authentication, groups, licenses, endpoint devices, and access-management concepts. Experience using a ticketing or IT service management system and maintaining clear support documentation. Ability to troubleshoot common hardware, software, connectivity, and Microsoft 365 issues. Strong customer service, written communication, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work with leadership, managers, technical teams, and remote employees. Ability to pass the background screening required for access to the company's GCC High environment. Within six months of hire, the employee must complete a company-approved Microsoft 365 certification path. Acceptable certifications may include MS-900, MD-102 or other certifications designated by the IT Management. Must be able to obtain a satisfactory background check. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting Microsoft 365 Commercial, GCC High, or another regulated cloud environment. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, or related Microsoft 365 administrative tools. Experience performing user, group, license, authentication, and endpoint-management tasks using delegated administrative privileges. Experience with Freshservice or a comparable IT service management platform. Experience assisting with technology deployments, user adoption, or smaller IT projects. Familiarity with CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, Controlled Unclassified Information, or government-contracting environments. Physical Job Requirements Occasional lifting of IT Equipment - up to 50 lbs, primarily seated at workstation with occasional standing for long periods of time or walking and moving between equipment and office. Education/Certification Requirements Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals, Endpoint Administrator, or equivalent demonstrated experience. TMMG
