Must Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering field, Mechanical or Aerospace Preferred
• Experience with classical stress analysis
• 1+ year of FEA, ANSYS experience preferred
• Experience with RISA (Rapid Interactive Structural Analysis), structural analysis software
• • Primarily used for analyzing and designing buildings
• Ability to obtain a clearance

• Experience doing hand calculations to come up with solutions on projects

Day-to-day

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Structural Analysis Engineer, the role will be to utilize engineering analysis from hand calculations to simulation tools to drive to a successful design. A typical day involves running structural simulations (like finite element analysis), reviewing design layouts for strength and durability, preparing formal engineering documentation, and participating in design reviews to present findings and recommend changes. They work closely with design engineers to catch potential structural issues early and help guide the design toward something that will hold up under the stresses of flight, launch, or field deployment, all while keeping projects on track within cost and schedule constraints.
