Details Work in the Cath Lab of a large, short-term acute care hospital with 1,266 staffed beds High-volume, high-acuity procedural environment managing diagnoses including AMI, NSTEMI, chest pain, heart failure, aortic stenosis, V-Tach, Afib, endocarditis, peripheral vascular disease, and sick sinus syndrome 1:1 patient ratio Rotating 4x10 schedule with shifts covering 0700–1730 (standard and late) and 1000–2030 (close), as needed per unit Every other weekend required Rotating on-call required, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, subject to change based on unit needs Floating within service line required Epic EMR used; Epic experience is required Specialized equipment includes Impella and IABP Block scheduling is not available for this position Requirements Active MO RN license or compact RN license (must be in hand at time of consideration; pending IL license may be accepted with notation) Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required Interventional scrub experience required Experience in a Level 1 Trauma, high-volume, high-acuity Cath Lab strongly preferred Proficiency with Epic EMR required Experience with Impella and IABP preferred Additional Information RN Circulator role supporting diagnostic and interventional PCI procedures, including administering conscious sedation under attending direction, handing off sterile supplies, assessing vitals, and documenting in Epic Cross-training to run hemodynamics in a monitor tech role is likely First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation Former permanent employees of any BJC facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler Standard travelers may work up to 18 months continuously, after which a 3-month break is required Navy scrubs are required Parking passes are available for purchase through the facility's Public Safety department at various nearby lots and garages American Traveler Job ID #P-720659.
