Job Summary Responsible for administering and directing appropriate nursing interventions as prescribed by a qualified physician or mid-level practitioner. Responsible for effective communication and accurate documentation. Displays professional behavior in accordance with Nursing Code of Ethics and CHS philosophy of service. Hours of Position Full-time, nights Key Responsibilities Performing the initial nursing assessment, communicating findings with the assigned physician or mid-level practitioner Assessing the wound stage and measurements, documenting care plans, evaluating the patient status in regards to desired outcomes Identifying patient care situations that require intervention Participating in quality improvement initiatives, providing education to the patient and/or caregiver, and serving as patient advocate in the delivery and coordination of care Collaborating as needed with other healthcare providers, Wound Care Center Providers, the Program Director and Medical Director regarding patient needs Performing other duties as required Technical Capabilities Our Nursing Philosophy: We believe highly skilled and specialized nursing care is essential to Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s mission of quality in patient care, education and research. Position Qualifications Licensure: Registered Nurse (LIC) Experience: 2 years relevant experience Education: Graduate of an approved discipline‑specific program Additional Certifications: Other relevant certifications Competencies: Effective communication, accurate documentation, professional ethics compliance, teamwork, and patient advocacy.
