Repair Technician

Mon.- Fri. (Overtime may be required based on business needs).

The Repair Technician will be responsible for repairing faults in finished products by following detailed instructions based on prior diagnostics and analysis completed by the test technician. This role ensures all products meet quality and performance standards before release.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform preliminary analysis of products to identify defects, faults, or performance issues.

· Diagnosing and repair faults found in finished products in accordance with established procedures.

· Document all repairs performed, including root causes, corrective actions, and parts used.

· Verify product functionality after repairs to ensure quality and compliance with company standards.

· Communicate recurring issues or complex faults to the test technician or supervisor for further evaluation.

· Ensure repairs are completed accurately, efficiently, and within the required timeframes.

· Consistently meet daily repair productivity and quality standards.

· Perform precise and thorough pre-analysis to support correct fault identification.

· Follow all repair procedures and instructions with accuracy and attention to detail.

· Maintain organized work processes and uphold quality control expectations.

Minimum Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent; higher education or technical certifications are a plus. Education level may be substituted with relevant work experience.

· Minimum of 1 year of experience in Mechatronics; 2 years preferred.

· NOM-022-STPS-2008 / ANSI-ESD S20.20:2014 (Basic) – Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) safety standards.

· RBA:2021 / SA8000:2014 – Social Accountability and Business Alliance compliance.

· Responsible (Basic) – Workplace responsibility and ethics.

· Security Awareness – Information security protocols and best practices.

· Safe Use of Social Networks / Social Media Awareness – Guidelines for professional and secure social media use.

Skills:

· Proficient in using voltmeters and other electronic measurement systems.

· Skilled in handling and operating soldering irons and heat guns.

· Ability to perform precise electronic component repairs and rework.

· Strong understanding of basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.

Education/Experience:

· High school diploma, technical degree, or equivalent experience.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (6–8 hours per shift) while performing repair tasks.

· Frequent movement between repair stations, inventory areas, and shipping/receiving zones.

· Manual dexterity to handle small electronic components and perform precise repairs.

· Ability to use tools such as soldering irons, heat guns, and electronic testing equipment safely and accurately.

· Capability to lift, push, pull, or carry items up to 50 lbs. as needed.

· Visual acuity to identify small defects, wiring issues, and component damage.

· Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.

· Frequent use of hands for typing, data entry, scanning, and handling tools or devices.

Work Environment:

· Manufacturing or repair-focused warehouse environment with designated workstations.

· Climate-controlled facility with exposure to electronic equipment and repair tools.

· ESD-controlled environment requiring use of protective equipment (e.g., wrist straps, mats).

· Fast-paced, production-driven setting with daily productivity and quality targets.

· Frequent interaction with test technicians, supervisors, and quality teams.

· Work involves both independent tasks and team-based collaboration.

· May require overtime, extended hours, or weekend work depending on business needs.

· Emphasis on safety, organization, and adherence to quality and repair procedures.
