Position Summary Maintenance Supervisor – Act as champion for safety for the site, lead safety sessions with the workforce, ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards, respond to safety and environmental hazards, maintain compliance with all regulatory agencies, and ensure equipment/facility maintenance is planned, scheduled, and performed cost‑effectively and in compliance with maintenance standards. Key Responsibilities Lead safety sessions and promote safety culture among all employees. Respond to safety and environmental hazards to eliminate them and maintain compliance with regulatory agencies. Plan, schedule, and perform equipment/facility maintenance in a cost‑effective manner while meeting maintenance standards. Manage maintenance and contractor spending in accordance with the plant budget. Ensure parts and appropriate tools are available for maintenance work. Gather, analyze, and interpret data from reliability‑centered maintenance tools (oil analysis, vibration monitoring, alignment, thermography, etc.). Manage asset lists, preventive maintenance compliance, and regulatory schedules via CMMS. Assist production personnel with identifying system/equipment issues and troubleshooting solutions. Supervise implementation of process equipment improvements, work practices, and equipment changes to improve productivity and/or enhance equipment availability. Recommend and implement changes to component specifications (materials, tolerances, speed, etc.). Maintain and advise on the use and disposition of stock items, rental equipment, etc. Schedule weekly and daily maintenance activities for contractors and maintenance employees. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications & Experience Associate or bachelor’s degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or Engineering (preferred). Five (5+) years supervising or managing industrial maintenance (preferred). Proven maintenance leadership and experience developing teams. MSHA awareness (a plus). Experience with milling, drying, and material handling equipment. Experience managing maintenance programs via a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of plant production processes and mechanical maintenance procedures, including preventive/predictive maintenance and process control concepts. Experience with a broad range of equipment types, such as mills, dryers, blowers, conveyors, dust collectors, packaging equipment, etc. Experience with G‑Suite applications (preferred). Understanding of mass balances and flow sheets. Internal customer focused and proven team member. Ability to work independently and with personnel at various levels. Experience in Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement (preferred). Work Environment Plant environment with exposure to varying temperature/humidity and chemicals and process equipment. Office environment – sitting, desk work (40%). Process environment – standing, walking, observing, troubleshooting (60%). Lifting up to 50 lbs (infrequent). Verbal and written communication required; listening skills essential. Work week typically Monday to Friday with plant and process support required 24/7 operation; on‑call coverage during off hours, weekends, and holidays. Infrequent travel required. Valid driver’s license required. Position Type Full time and Permanent.
