Job Title: Production Technician

Location: Columbus, NE 68601

Pay Rate: $20.50/hr on W2

Employment Type: Contract

Duration: 5 months (possible extension)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, Mid Shift

Core Hours: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Shift Flexibility: 2 hours in either direction

Interview: In-person

Steel-Toe Shoes: Required

Position Summary

The Production Technician will perform routine production functions including product reprocessing, parts handling, inspection, packing, packaging, and labeling under general supervision. This position requires strong attention to detail, accurate documentation, and the ability to follow standard operating procedures in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Reprocess products and handle parts according to established procedures.
• Perform visual inspections and basic gauging/measurements.
• Pack, package, and label products accurately.
• Complete production paperwork, records, and logs accurately and on time.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and established processes.
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with FDA, GMP, and ISO 9000/13485 requirements.
• Work effectively as part of a team to support production goals and objectives.
• Rotate between different tasks and responsibilities as needed.
• Follow instructions and make appropriate decisions within established procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Report to work regularly and punctually and remain flexible regarding work hours when required.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, interpret, and comprehend specifications and work instructions in English.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard procedures.
• Ability to work in a hands-on, manual production environment.
• Willingness to rotate between different tasks and responsibilities.
• Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours when required.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in production, manufacturing, or quality control.
• Experience performing inspections or parts handling.
• Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience with GMP, FDA, ISO 9000, or ISO 13485 environments is preferred.
• Medical device or similar regulated-industry experience is a plus.

Work Environment

This is a primarily hands-on production position with limited computer use. Basic experience with email, Microsoft Teams, or similar communication systems is sufficient
