Here’s What Makes This Role Stand Out Take ownership of projects, managing client communication, deadlines, deliverables, budgets, and ensuring top‑notch quality. Guide and train junior engineers, helping to build the next generation of transportation professionals. Assist in business development activities to contribute to the expansion of our transportation practice. Leverage your technical prowess to lead the analysis, design, and preparation of plans, specifications, estimates, and reports for our valued clients. Build and cultivate strong client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor and ensuring client satisfaction. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or a comparable engineering or applied science degree) 6+ years of experience in roadway design 2+ years of progressive project management experience Texas Professional Engineering license (or the ability to become licensed in Texas within 6 months) Strong technical skills in roadway and drainage design Experience with MicroStation and Open Roads/Open Roads Designer Preferred Qualifications Experience working with the Texas Department of Transportation and understanding their design requirements and/or LGPP Projects Client communication and reporting, management of deadlines and project deliverables, project execution and quality management, agency coordination, scope and fee development along with project scheduling and tracking of activities About Freese and Nichols At the heart of our culture is our L earn continuously, E ngage as family, A ct with integrity, D eliver quality, and S erve always values.
