Responsibilities Responsible for coding, testing, analysis, design, definition, development and implementation of business applications within FM Global's Information Services department. Understand FM Global's business goals and develop solutions that are aligned with those goals. In conjunction with senior members of the team, prepare technical specifications and participate in design reviews. Create and review documentation at appropriate level to allow for maintenance and extension of the application. Provide input for estimates and timeframes for requirements and tasks. Participate on various sized business application development/enhancement solutions. Develop technical expertise needed to provide support for systems of varying levels of complexity. Participate in testing and debugging of overall system as required. Support implementation of applications into production and post-production. Interface with IT colleagues and other stakeholders to evaluate defined business requirements and processes. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a technical field. 2 years of experience in any job title/occupation/position involving business application development including report design, development, and support. Experience with technologies for packaged systems and tools, including database skills, query language, reporting and scripting languages (e.g., SQL), translating requirements into backlog tasks, and models into technical processes and/or business system designs. Completing unit testing in software environments. Report writing utilizing software such as COGNOS, SQL and Power BI. Telecommuting is permitted. Can reside anywhere in the United States. Must be able to work Eastern Time Zone (EST) business hours and attend ad hoc meetings at the Corporate Office in Johnston, Rhode Island at a minimum of 1 time per quarter.
