Job Summary Registered Nurse, Operating Room – BMC‑Brighton, MA. Day shifts with required on‑call duties. Working in a fast‑paced, high‑skill, collaborative OR environment featuring advanced surgical equipment including a hybrid room and Da Vinci Robotics. Responsibilities Deliver nursing care in the Perioperative Services unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and education of patients. Communicate with health‑care team members, patients, and families. Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient‑care activities to inter‑professional colleagues. Update and manage patient records; enter and interpret computerized data. Follow BMC nursing guidelines and policies. Assist leadership in quality‑improvement projects as needed. Requirements Education: Nursing diploma, ASN, or BSN (preferred). Must obtain BSN within 4 years if not already holding one. Licensure: Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; CNA, CNRO, and ACLS preferred. Experience: Minimum 2 years in an OR setting; 3 years preferred; must have experience in a circulating role. Knowledge & Skills: Relevant clinical experience; effective verbal and written communication; physical ability to meet job responsibilities; basic computer proficiency; fluency in an additional language is a plus.
