About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights, Every Other Weekend Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: First to float to PCU for a Medical Surgical Unit assignment unless telemetry trained Description: The position requires working 12-hour night shifts. Every other weekend is required. Mandatory floating to a progressive care unit is expected. Up to 2 extra mandatory shifts may be required within a 6-week period. The nurse-patient ratio is 1:6 maximum. During dayshift from Monday to Friday, the ratio is 1:5. Holidays are typically scheduled from May to September and November to January. Only one holiday request off is allowed during the contract period. The care setting is acute with a Trauma Level of 3. The charting system utilized is EPIC.
