Read the following job description to see if this position would suit your lifestyle!Position Title: Night Auditor - Part TimeDepartment: AccountingReports to: Director of Finance and AccountingStatus: Hourly Non-ExemptCompensation: $16.00 / hrSummary of PositionAccurately verify that all daily charges to guest accounts are correctly posted, and prepare summary reports of daily income.Duties & ResponsibilitiesBalances the rooms section of the audit:Ensure all system postingsCheck accuracy of occupied roomsVerify correct market codes and rate of market codeBalances the food and beverage section of the audit:Accurate reads and closes all food and beverage outlet registersAudits and accurately prepares all food and beverage outlet reportsCompares banquet tickets to banquet event orders to ensure all charges are postedNeatly and accurately prepares tipped employee reportEnsures proper posting and transmittal of all credit card charges:Ensures posting to proper amount is chargedAccurately posts front office charges to city ledger accountsEnsures daily transmission of credit card charges to centerActs as night GSR and/or Manager on Duty, as required during the 11pm to 7am shiftPerforms Daily, Weekly and Monthly functions as related to the computers and point of sale systemsKeep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance which require corrective actionConduct and/or attend meetings as requiredPrepare reports as requested, to develop an informative database for improved management decision making and critical evaluation of work activitiesPerform all accountabilities in a professional, timely and efficient manner, following established company policy and projecting a favorable image to achieve objectives, public recognition, and acceptance as the preferred hotel companyAnd, any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our Organization's values.Essential FunctionsAbility to verbally communicate effectively with guests and co-workers.Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.Ability to visually check work, work area, and hotel space.Minimum lifting of 30 pounds.Other RequirementsKnowledge of English and local languageAbility to deal with the public in a professional and courteous mannerAbility to communicate with all managers, supervisors and fellow associatesAbility to handle conflict situations in a professional mannerBe well groomed and conform to the hotel's dress codeSafety AwarenessMaintain safety by adhering to safety policies, being responsible to report all accidents immediately. Support all safety programs. Proceed with caution when walking on slippery floors. Ensure proper safety instructions are given before operating any equipment.ARLLC, operating as Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center, function seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. You as an associate must realize this fact and be aware that at times, it may be necessary to move you from your accustomed shift, as business demands. In addition, you understand that business determines the amount of hours you work, and that some weeks may be scheduled for less than forty hours, and on other weeks you may be scheduled to work more than forty hours per week.
