Tishomingo Med Surg - Patient Care Associate - PRN/Nights

Mercy Hospital Tishomingo PCA – Med Surg PRN (Night Shift) Under the direction of the RN or LPN, assists in the individualized care of patients to achieve their highest level of wellness. Works cooperatively with the interdisciplinary team and performs designated clinical procedures and non‑clinical support tasks essential to patient care. Position Details Location: Mercy Hospital Tishomingo | Role: Patient Care Associate (PCA) | Shift: Night (7p.m. – 7a.m.) | Staffing: PRN – As Needed Requirements Education: High school diploma, GED, CNA/CPTC, or enrollment in a healthcare career program through a high school curriculum; may also be a current Mercy employee. Experience: None required. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required within one month of hire; completion of PCA competencies within three months of hire. Physical Requirements The position requires the ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs., as well as prolonged standing, walking, and repeated motions such as gripping, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting during each shift. Preferred Qualifications Experience: EMT, paramedic, or prior patient‑care experience. Certifications: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Advanced Unlicensed Assistant (AUA) in the state of practice.
