Outside Plant Technician

Outside Plant (OSP) Technician Installed, maintained, repaired, and troubleshot underground and aerial telecommunications infrastructure, including fiber optic and copper cable networks. Supported outside plant construction projects by performing cable placement, testing, utility locating, conduit installation, and network restoration activities. Interpreted construction blueprints, engineering drawings, and utility maps to ensure accurate and efficient project execution. Operated hand tools, power tools, and specialized construction equipment for cable installation, maintenance, and repair. Assisted with trenching, directional boring, and conduit placement while adhering to safety and quality standards. Conducted inspections and preventive maintenance to identify network issues and minimize service disruptions. Performed emergency repairs and outage response to maintain network reliability and customer connectivity. Documented completed work, material usage, and field observations with a high degree of accuracy. Coordinated with project managers, utility companies, construction teams, and customers to ensure successful project completion. Maintained strict compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and industry best practices. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
