Maintenance TechnicianThis role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment, including conveyor systems, within a manufacturing facility that produces paper products and boxes. The Maintenance Technician performs preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance to keep production equipment operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.ResponsibilitiesPerform troubleshooting and repair on a variety of industrial equipment, with a strong focus on conveyor systems and related machinery.Conduct preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems to minimize downtime and support continuous production.Inspect and maintain mechanical components such as gearboxes, pumps, motors, and 3-phase systems to ensure optimal performance.Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including diagnosing issues, replacing components, and performing routine servicing.Use electrical troubleshooting skills to work with 480V systems, wire up 3-phase motors, and identify faults in circuits when needed.Read and interpret wiring schematics, electrical diagrams, and mechanical blueprints to diagnose issues and perform accurate repairs.Perform PLC troubleshooting at the I/O and device level to support proper operation of automated equipment and conveyor systems.Carry out maintenance repairs on conveyors and other industrial machinery, including mechanical adjustments, part replacement, and alignment.Utilize welding skills when necessary to repair or fabricate components to support equipment reliability and structural integrity.Follow established maintenance procedures and safety guidelines while working in an industrial manufacturing environment.Document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections to support accurate equipment history and compliance with facility standards.Collaborate with production and other maintenance team members to prioritize work orders and respond quickly to equipment issues.Essential SkillsAt least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Hands-on experience with conveyor systems or other industrial machinery.Strong mechanical background, including work with hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, 3-phase motors, and pumps.Ability to perform preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance on industrial equipment.Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints and equipment schematics.Experience with industrial troubleshooting and maintenance repair on mechanical systems.Working knowledge of industrial motors, gearboxes, and conveyor systems.Ability to work safely and effectively in a manufacturing facility with large, moving equipment.Additional Skills & QualificationsElectrical experience with 480V systems and 3-phase motors.Ability to wire up 3-phase motors and understand basic industrial electrical practices.Skill in reading and understanding wiring schematics and electrical circuitry.Experience with PLC troubleshooting to support automated equipment and conveyors.Background in electrical troubleshooting within an industrial setting.Welding skills for repair and fabrication of components as needed.Familiarity with both mechanical and electrical aspects of industrial maintenance, including conveyors and other production equipment.Why Work Here?You will join a stable manufacturing operation that offers a consistent work environment and the opportunity to grow your skills and advance your career in industrial maintenance. The role involves working around industrial machinery and conveyor systems in an active plant environment. The schedule follows rotating shifts, including a rotating night shift of 3 days on and 2 days off followed by 2 days on and 3 days off from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., or a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, requiring flexibility and comfort with extended shifts. Work is performed on the production floor, where adherence to facility safety rules and appropriate industrial attire and personal protective equipment is expected.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Magnolia, MS.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
